About APDr.
Psychology-led support that puts children first
APDr was founded by Marc and Annie in response to a critical need for multi-agency, professionally led interventions for students with unmet educational needs.
APDr delivers a truly bespoke, graduated approach—ensuring that support is tailored to each student’s unique challenges rather than following a one-size-fits-all model. By progressively assessing and adapting interventions, APDr provides timely and precise support that evolves to meet individual needs effectively.
Our Framework
The Graduated Response
We support schools and individuals through the structured four-step graduated approach:
Assess
We offer timely access to a broad range of SEN assessments, covering communication, emotional wellbeing, learning, and physical or sensory needs.
Plan
A personalised intervention package is developed with clear, measurable goals to support progress.
Do
Our experienced tutors and family support workers deliver the intervention, with structured oversight from a SENCo.
Review
We assess progress, provide detailed reports, and recommend next steps to ensure continuous development.
At APDr, we believe in early and effective intervention to help children reach their full potential.
Meet the Team

APDr: Dedicated to Educational Inclusion and Advocacy
APDr is a specialised service founded by Marc and Annie, a husband-and-wife team with a combined 35 years of experience working with young people, their families, and educational institutions. With strengths in psychology, education, and multi-agency collaboration, APDr is committed to providing comprehensive support for children and young people with additional educational needs.
Recognising a critical gap in statutory and non-statutory support services, Marc and Annie established APDr to provide proactive, collaborative, and flexible interventions. Their approach ensures that students experiencing difficulties in accessing or engaging with education receive timely and appropriate support to promote high and sustainable results.
APDr works alongside schools, families, and other agencies to improve educational outcomes, foster inclusion, and empower young people in their academic journeys.
At APDr, the framework works and the mission is clear: to advocate for every child, ensuring they receive the guidance and resources necessary to thrive within their educational environments.
